New Drums in The Dojo!
Fushu Daiko is happy to welcome four new Nagado Taiko Drums into South Florida Taiko Dojo. We are very grateful to Toshi Kato, the Greatest Barrel Taiko Maker in The World!
These Taiko’s are made from recycled wine barrels. Each barrel is carefully selected to make sure the wood is stable. The barrel is then taken apart, and biscuit joints are placed along each stave to ensure a strong body. After the biscuits have been placed the barrel is then assembled. My Taiko ID has a design with a big tack in it. Each piece of stave is joined together beautifully the lines are almost invisible.
